Shanbrooke Alpaca Stud - Elite Stud Sires

Shanbrooke take pride in their elite, specially selected stud sires. They have been hand chosen and selected for their high quality fleece characteristics and their breeding lines in South America. We place great emphasis on the quality of the males we use, as nothing will have a greater impact on the whole herd than high potency well bred males. At Shanbrooke we are concentrating on the Accoyo, Alianza and Tingabamba lines, which have been well developed in Peru and are exhibiting the fleece qualities and bone that we are breeding for. We believe these lines breed very true to type, and are very predictable in what they produce. These males have only had two breeding seasons on our farm but are already creating a huge impact, producing the outstanding traits that they were chosen for. With only three drops on the ground, it's exciting to see progeny from every one of these males taking out Championships and placings at shows. This applies not only to our own animals, but also to the animals of others who have used our sires. At recently held shows around Australia in 2004, progeny from these males have taken out Championships and Supreme Championships, including the prestigious award of Sires Progeny at several major shows.
